There are two related parts to this project, the first being the method for selecting which octave to update, in a recursive and non-recursive manner. This is demonstrated in this python script. The second being simply putting the parts together in SAOL.
The sound that the SAOL file, and the sample SASL file generate is a comparison of white then pink noise. Note that the 303 value in the pink generator is arbitrary, and hopefully I can figure out SAOL enough to make that the input to the pinknoise instrument.
